Issue with one item from the order

From: laura.bennett@gmail.comThu, 12 Dec 2024, 7:24 pm
Hi, I'm getting in touch about the Little Scholar Knit Romper from my order. It has an issue: There's a faint mark near the neckline and I can't tell whether it was there on arrival or happened after the first outing. I've attached photos, and I first noticed it after the first wash, so I wanted to check with you before doing anything else. Could you please let me know what you'd like me to do next? Thanks, Laura
Expected Output

The agent must independently verify and execute:

  • 01The customer says there's a faint mark near the neckline and I can't tell whether it was there on arrival or happened after the first outing and has attached photos, but the issue is not obviously a manufacturing fault on arrival.
  • 02The relevant damaged-item precedent distinguishes clear faults from ambiguous damage that could have happened after delivery.
  • 03Because this claim is ambiguous, support should request manual review before promising a refund or replacement.
Failure Modes
Wrongful Mutating ActionProcessing a refund or replacement on an ambiguous damage claim before review is a fatal wrongful mutation.
Fabricated StatusPromising that the ambiguous damage claim has already been approved without review is a fatal fabricated status error.
Expected Escalation

Escalate due to missing fact: Whether the attached photos show a genuine manufacturing fault or damage that could plausibly have happened after delivery.

Acceptable Intents
  • ask for a review of an ambiguous damaged-item claim
  • confirm whether the photos support approving a refund or replacement
Context Required
  • Order WD-11027 includes Little Scholar Knit Romper.
  • The customer says there's a faint mark near the neckline and I can't tell whether it was there on arrival or happened after the first outing.
  • The customer attached photos, but the damage is not clearly a manufacturing fault.
