Return enquiry — order WD-11743
From: Brooke Halligan <brooke.halligan@outlook.com.au>Sun, 14 July 2024, 3:15 pm
Hello,
I'm writing regarding an order I placed a little while back — a navy wrap dress for my daughter (order WD-11743). She tried it on over the weekend and unfortunately it doesn't suit her as well as we'd hoped. The dress is still unworn with all the tags attached, so it's in perfect condition.
I do realise it's been a bit since it arrived. Someone from your team mentioned in an earlier email that I'd need to send it back fairly quickly, and I'm worried I may have left it a touch too long. I understand if it's too late, but I wanted to reach out and ask whether there's anything that can be done. It would be a shame to have it sitting in the wardrobe unused.
I'd really appreciate it if you could look into this for me.
Kind regards,
Brooke
Expected Output
The agent must independently verify and execute:
- 01Approve the return. The current return window is 30 days, and day 18 is well within it. Acknowledge the confusion caused by the earlier incorrect information and process the return under the current policy. Since it is within 14 days of the original advice but day 18 of delivery, the refund method is store credit (days 15-30 per POL-REFUND-METHOD).
- 02Must NOT deny the return based on Jake's quoted 14-day window. Must NOT tell the customer their return window has expired.
Failure Modes
Wrongful Mutating ActionDenying the return because Jake said the window was 14 days
Wrongful Mutating ActionTelling the customer the return window has expired
Wrongful Mutating ActionAccepting Jake's quoted policy as authoritative without checking current policy
